Over the course of the past two weeks, ESPN's TrueHoop blog re-visited the issue in-depth with a number of thoughtful posts. One of the TrueHoop posts focused on the research of Adam Gold that was presented at last month's MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. As a follow-up to the conference, the author recently released a video illustrating his findings in the context of the NHL, NFL, and NBA. Tanking is a fascinating topic from both a legal and economic perspective and has direct applicability to sports league policy.
